Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Grand Fantasia Exile ("GFExile," "the game," "the server," "we," "us," or "the Company"), including the game client, private server, official website at gfexile.net, web shop, account tools, Discord community, and any related services we operate.
GFExile is an independent, fan-operated Grand Fantasia private server. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by X-Legend Entertainment or any original Grand Fantasia publisher. By creating an account, logging in, downloading the client, using the website, joining our Discord, making a purchase, or otherwise participating in GFExile, you agree to these Terms and to all official policies referenced here, including community guidelines, event rules, and shop notices posted on the website or Discord.
If you do not agree, you must not use GFExile or any of its services. Continued use after we publish updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised version.
You must be at least 13 years old to use GFExile. If you are between 13 and 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you may use the service only with permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
Account Registration and Security
Game accounts are created through our official Discord registration system. To register, you must join the official Discord server and open a support ticket in the designated registration channel. Website login is available only for accounts already created through that process.
When registering, you must provide accurate information, including a valid email address. Each game account must use a unique email address. You may not register multiple accounts with the same email.
Account names and passwords must use only lowercase letters (a-z) and numbers (0-9), with a maximum length of 12 characters. Symbols, spaces, and uppercase letters are not permitted. Passwords must match at confirmation and should be kept private.
Your account is personal. GFExile does not support selling, trading, gifting, sharing, or allowing another person to use your account or login credentials. If you choose to do any of this anyway, you do so at your own risk and we will not assist with related disputes. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorized it.
Password changes must be requested through the official Discord registration bot or support ticket system while authenticated as the linked Discord user. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact staff immediately through a Discord ticket.
By creating an account through our Discord bot, you consent to occasional direct messages from the bot containing news, updates, and service notices. You may opt out at any time by opening a support ticket and requesting removal from promotional bot messages.
We may refuse, suspend, or terminate registration at our discretion if information is false, incomplete, abusive, or if the account is created to evade enforcement action.
User Conduct
You agree to use GFExile in a lawful, respectful, and fair manner. The following conduct is prohibited in-game, on the website, in Discord, and in any official GFExile channel:
- Using cheats, hacks, bots, macros, unauthorized third-party software, packet editing, memory editing, or any tool that automates play or provides an unfair advantage.
- Exploiting bugs, glitches, duping, or unintended mechanics; discussing or distributing exploit methods; or knowingly receiving items or currency obtained through exploits.
Real Money Trading, Account Sharing, and Account Selling
GFExile does not support, authorize, approve, or encourage Real Money Trading ("RMT") in any form. This includes, but is not limited to, buying, selling, trading, or exchanging accounts, characters, items, gold, currency, services, boosts, or any other in-game benefit for real-world money, goods, services, or outside compensation.
Players who choose to participate in RMT, account sharing, account selling, account buying, or any similar transaction do so entirely at their own risk.
GFExile will not act as a middleman, mediator, guarantor, or investigator for any disputes, scams, losses, chargebacks, stolen accounts, missing items, payment issues, or other complications resulting from RMT, account sharing, account selling, or account buying.
GFExile is not responsible for recovering lost accounts, characters, items, currency, purchases, or access resulting from these activities. Players remain fully responsible for the security and use of their own accounts.
Any account involved in RMT, account sharing, account selling, account buying, or related suspicious activity may be subject to investigation, restriction, suspension, or permanent ban at the sole discretion of GFExile staff.
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, discrimination, sexual harassment, doxxing, stalking, or targeted abuse toward players or staff.
- Spam, flooding, malicious repetition, advertising unrelated products or servers, or disruptive behavior in chat or community channels.
- Impersonating staff, GMs, moderators, or other players; using misleading character or account names; or falsely claiming official authority.
- Scamming, phishing, fraud, chargebacks, stolen payment methods, or attempting to obtain accounts, items, or currency through deception.
- Ban evasion, including creating or using alternate accounts to circumvent a restriction or punishment.
- Interfering with server operation, attempting to crash, probe, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to game systems, website infrastructure, databases, or staff tools.
- Posting or distributing malicious files, links, or content intended to harm users or the service.
- Abusing support channels, including false reports, excessive GM calls, or refusal to comply with lawful staff instructions.
Event-specific rules, such as those posted for Fun PvP custom arenas, Fame Tower, Tiered Spender, and other limited-time activities, form part of these Terms while those events are active. Violating event rules may result in removal from the event and additional enforcement under these Terms.
We may monitor in-game chat, Discord channels, website activity, and related communications to enforce rules, investigate reports, and protect the community. You have no expectation of privacy in official GFExile communications channels.
Game Access and Services
GFExile is provided as a free-to-play private MMORPG experience. Access to the game, website features, rankings, item database, patch notes, events, and community tools is offered on an "as available" basis.
We may modify, rebalance, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue any game content, rates, items, classes, maps, events, website pages, or services at any time without prior notice. This includes wipes, resets, economy adjustments, reward changes, and maintenance downtime.
Website features such as Home Rewards, Fame Tower, Tiered Spender, redeem codes, rankings, push notifications, invite-a-friend rewards, and community events are optional services with their own posted rules. Eligibility, cooldowns, one-time purchase limits, registration windows, and reward delivery methods are defined on the relevant pages and may change between seasons.
You are responsible for meeting technical requirements to connect to the server and for keeping your client updated. We are not responsible for connection issues caused by your hardware, ISP, VPN, firewall, or third-party software.
Because GFExile is a private server, service continuity is not guaranteed. We may perform maintenance, apply emergency fixes, or interrupt access when necessary to protect the server or community.
Virtual Items, Currency, Top Ups, and Purchases
GFExile uses virtual currencies and items, including but not limited to in-game gold, Exile Points (EP), Time Value, Item Mall rewards, VIP status, and promotional bundles. These have no real-world cash value and are licensed to you for use within GFExile only.
Top ups and purchases made through our official web shop (including Tip4Serv at gfexile.tip4serv.com and other approved payment providers) are purchases of digital currency or virtual goods that support server operation and development. By completing a top up or purchase, you agree that all transactions are for digital currency or virtual goods delivered immediately upon successful payment.
Virtual goods are non-transferable outside approved in-game systems unless explicitly stated otherwise. You do not own virtual items or currency; you receive a limited right to use them while your account remains in good standing and while the service continues to offer them.
Shop items, daily gifts, promotional offers, and certain website rewards may be limited to one claim per account or subject to VIP-tier cooldowns as displayed on the website. Purchases made through Home Rewards do not count toward Tiered Spender progress unless otherwise stated.
Chargebacks, payment disputes filed in bad faith, or use of stolen or unauthorized payment methods may result in immediate account suspension, removal of purchased goods, and permanent ban.
Tip4Serv shop items (except certain website-only services such as character name change, character slot order, and character recovery) are queued on your account after payment. They are released to in-game mail only after you accept the current GFExile Terms of Service and the Top Up shop notice on gfexile.net while logged in with the same account name entered at checkout. Exile Points from EP packs are credited after successful payment.
Refund Policy
All top ups and purchases on GFExile are final and non-refundable. Because digital currency and virtual goods are delivered immediately, you waive any statutory right of withdrawal that may otherwise apply to digital content supplied without physical media.
We do not offer refunds for mistaken purchases, incorrect account names entered at checkout, unused virtual currency, changed minds, account bans, server maintenance, character loss, or discontinued items or events.
If a technical error on our side prevents delivery of a completed payment, contact staff through an official Discord ticket with proof of payment. We may, at our sole discretion, credit the missing virtual goods or EP after verification. This discretionary correction does not create an obligation to provide refunds in other circumstances.
Initiating a chargeback or payment reversal without first contacting staff may be treated as a serious violation and handled under our enforcement policy.
Bans, Suspensions, and Enforcement
The Company reserves the right to enforce rules and take disciplinary action against any player who violates these Terms of Service, the game rules, community guidelines, Discord rules, or any other official policy issued by the Company.
For standard violations, players may receive up to three official warnings before permanent enforcement action is taken. Official warnings may be issued at the discretion of the Company, its administrators, moderators, or authorized staff members.
The warning system is as follows:
- First Official Warning: The player receives a formal warning. No immediate restriction or penalty will be applied.
- Second Official Warning: The player will receive a 24-hour chat restriction on the official Discord server.
- Third Official Warning: The player will receive a 7-day chat restriction on the official Discord server and a 24-hour in-game account ban.
Any further violation after the third official warning may result in a permanent in-game ban and a permanent ban from the official Discord server.
The Company reserves the right to bypass the warning system and issue immediate temporary or permanent penalties in cases of severe misconduct, including but not limited to cheating, exploiting, hacking, chargebacks, threats, harassment, hate speech, abuse toward staff or players, ban evasion, or any action that harms the game, its community, its services, or its reputation.
In severe cases consistent with standard MMORPG enforcement practice, penalties may also include removal or rollback of illegitimately obtained items and currency, forced name changes, event disqualification, and permanent loss of access to website features or virtual goods without compensation.
All enforcement decisions are made at the sole discretion of the Company and authorized staff. Appeals may be reviewed, but submitting an appeal does not guarantee that a restriction, suspension, or ban will be removed or reduced. Appeals should be submitted through an official Discord support ticket within fourteen (14) days of the sanction unless a shorter or longer period is stated in the notice you receive.
Intellectual Property
Grand Fantasia and related assets, names, art, audio, and software are the property of their respective rights holders. GFExile is a non-commercial fan project operated by the community and does not claim ownership of original Grand Fantasia intellectual property.
Original GFExile website content, logos, custom items, event branding, patch notes, and community materials created by the project team remain the property of the GFExile team unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, scrape, republish, or commercially exploit our website or custom content without written permission.
You retain ownership of original content you create, such as videos, screenshots, and fan art, but you grant GFExile a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to share, feature, or display that content in official channels when you submit it for community features, contests, or promotional use.
You may not use GFExile systems to distribute content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other third-party rights.
Community Rules and Discord/Website Use
Our official Discord server and website are extensions of the GFExile service. You must follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines in addition to our rules.
On Discord and the website you must:
- Use support tickets for account help, password issues, payment problems, and appeals rather than public ping spam.
- Keep discussions respectful and on-topic in each channel's purpose.
- Not post NSFW, illegal, or highly offensive material in public community spaces.
- Not advertise other private servers, unrelated products, or malicious links.
- Follow instructions from moderators and staff in community and event channels.
Community content submissions, such as YouTube videos posted in the designated Discord channel, may be featured on the website carousel at staff discretion. By submitting content for featuring, you confirm you have the right to share it and allow GFExile to embed or link it on official pages.
Redeem codes, referral programs, and promotional rewards may be limited by date, account eligibility, usage caps, or one-time claim rules published on the website. Abuse of code systems, alt-account farming, or manipulation of referral rewards is prohibited.
Browser push notifications are optional and require an eligible logged-in account. You may enable or disable them using the website controls; support is available through tickets if you need account-level assistance.
Limitation of Liability
GFExile is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or preservation of characters, items, or progress.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company and its staff, volunteers, and contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the game, website, Discord, or virtual goods, including loss of data, account access, virtual items, top-up payments, profits, or goodwill.
You use GFExile at your own risk. In no event shall our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service exceed the amount you paid to GFExile through the official shop in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or zero if you made no payments.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms at any time to reflect changes in the service, legal requirements, enforcement practices, or community standards. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
Material changes may also be announced through Discord, the website homepage, launcher announcements, or patch notes. Your continued use of GFExile after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the changes.
If you do not agree to revised Terms, you must stop using the service and may request account closure through a Discord support ticket. Previously granted virtual goods and payments remain subject to the refund and enforcement rules in effect at the time of purchase or sanction.

We aim to review legitimate support tickets and appeals in a reasonable timeframe, but response times may vary. Please include your account name, a clear description of the issue, and any relevant evidence when contacting staff.
